Jewelry - Repair Jewelry
The wonderful thing about using Miracle
Glue with jewelry is that is remains clear over time as opposed to
super glue or krazy glue which get brittle and discolor. Miracle
Glue will glue almost any of the materials that are used in jewelry as
long as the two pieces fit snugly together. I have put pearls
back in earrings, metal pins to ivory, precious stones back together
and re-attached the back of earrings to name a few.
We have jewelers using
Miracle Glue to glue posts into pearls.
Replace gems that have fallen out of
rings and earrings. Put a post back in a pearl earring or the
back post to an earring. Replace a pin back to a broach.
Repair a leather strap on a watch - You can also repair the small
straps that hold the main strap on a watch.
When using the glue with jewelry you
may want to dispense the glue to a pin or a toothpick as an
intermediate step so you don't get too much coming out of the spout
onto the item that you are trying to glue.
What's been done to make Miracle Glue different than Super Glue or Krazy Glue is that the solvents have been distilled out. So, as Miracle Glue is pure it is much stronger and there are no solvents to make it discolor and go brittle. It dries clear and flexible. But the real benefit is that you get to use it all. It is stronger than Superglue and has a much longer shelf life! Store it in the fridge and
you'll get a very good shelf life out of it. Most customers keep it for 3 years. Use it at room temperature for best results.
